Reiki Practice Explained

Our daily lives are stressful and our bodies are starving for energy and balance. Regular Reiki sessions won`t make the stress go away, but they will help you better cope with it all.

reikiflow-hand-butterfly-450px.pngReiki is a gentle, hands-on practice that relaxes you and leaves you calm, rested and energised. The deep relaxation of a Reiki session moves your nervous system from the 'sympathetic' (fight or flight/coping) mode, into the 'parasympathetic' (rest –digest/healing) mode. It is in this rest-digest mode when your body focuses on balancing and healing and general wellness.

During a Reiki session, you will feel calm and relaxed; you`ll breathe more deeply and your heart rate will slow down. This is the state where the wisdom of your body takes over.  After the session, you will feel rested and energised. It is an energy infusion that you have to experience to understand and appreciate.

Is Reiki right for me?

Whether you are in need of some general relaxation; or are coping with an illness, injury; chronic pain or headaches, Reiki can offer a great sense of comfort and relief.  Reiki sessions are a complement to any other traditional or alternative therapy.

You have amazing healing abilities.  When you have a cold, your immune system fights the virus; when you receive a cut or bruise, your body works quickly to heal the area.  Reiki sessions simply enhance your body’s healing abilities; allowing your body to cope and heal more effectively.
